It is fifteen years prior to the day Red starts off on his pokemon journey. The events of Pokemon Black/White are twenty years away. It's a different world we live in. Ten-year-old trainers are a distant dream. Strong pokemon are savage things, difficult to tame. Only the noble houses have a tradition in bending wild pokemon to their will. Lowborn pokemon trainers are rare and genius. The noble houses vie against each other for power within their region. The regions vie against each other for power in the world. Tensions grow every day, as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Romance of the Six Regions is set in the Great Pokemon War Theory (see below), where a bloody war will rip their world apart.
