she loved him; that much was undisputed. that stopped mattering the day that the boy challenged the son of the lesser nobles. his loss helped to open the eyes of their father, who banished him to mt. chimney. well, banished was the kinder way of putting it. when liliana saw his brother off on his way to his grave, she did not see strength in his eyes.
liliana doesn't blame her father. not anymore. they are tasked with the work of their people, whether they like it or not. fighting for their culture's right to dominate, the right to crush so many beneath their leather boots -- how do you justify that with anything but power?

liliana's coping mechanism eventually becomes a core foundation of her very belief. she envelops the mantra like a finely woven cloak around her shoulders and marches forward. today, she leads the tribes of mauville with an iron fist, carefully surveying the travelers who pass hoenn's crossroads. she can be rather gung-ho and forward in her policy, but her determination and leadership ability is undisputed. | Hadar
Sweeper - he's a fucking monster, which is probably why liliana has kept him around for so long. loves to eat, which his trainer encourages as part of the training regimen. hadar is rather independently minded and doesn't always work well with others. he makes exceptions for partners that he respects. | Kurhah
Utility - this particular ponyta was bred for speed, the ability to run circles around his enemies. kurhah is still a rather energetic, playful ponyta. his evolution is not optional for liliana, who intends to ride him into battle as a rapidash one day. a spear is only as good as its ability to position itself correctly. | Khadija
Wall - a grather grandmotherly old torkoal. never does she ever feel the need to be coddled, despite her great age. the scratch marks along her sides and shell are a testament to a long history on the battlefield. longer than her current trainer's age. |
